We are a Non-Partisan grass root movement with a goal to fundamentally change the way Congress does business. Our members believe that Congress should be governed under the same laws as the American people. The members of Congress shall pass no law that exempts them. It is that simple.
Our intent is to gather Americans of all political views together in a non-partisan movement with one common goal ; convince Congress that it is in our Nation’s best interest to insure the following;
Congress shall not pass any law that excludes Congress.
The American Independent Movement is a NON-PARTISAN independent political movement.
We are liberals, we are conservatives. We are Democrats, we are Republicans. We are Independents, Libertarians, Socialists, and everyone in-between. We are old we are young. We are Americans who never see eye to eye on almost anything.
We will begin by signing up members. This will be the most difficult but the most important part of the process. We need to have numbers in the millions to be successful. We also must clearly demonstrate that this is a non-partisanship, grassroots movement and our members come from all political points of view.

While AIM takes no stance on any legislation we do take a stance on legislation or portions of legislation that exempts or benefits legislators or any special friends of the lawmakers. The American Independent Movement will insure that the people seeking office understand in order to get our support regardless of who they are or what political party they belong they must agree to be governed with us. It is that simple.
Many Americans are pretty unhappy with Congress. This is pretty understandable. The American Independent Movement encourages you to be politically active and join in partisan politicking. It’s the American way. Get involved!
